Next month is the National Mobility Awareness Month in the US & Canada. There’s an organization, NMEDA, that will give away 3-4 wheelchair accessible vehicles to the winners of their annual challenge. First, contestants must get as many votes as possible from friends, family, coworkers etc. as part of raising awareness. In fact, voters can vote daily and even double their votes by answering a special question. We’ve had a lot of great support from friends, family, and coworkers. Many have even shared with their personal networks to help us help Jacob.
First, I want to thank everyone who has already been helping us get this far! But there’s still another month of voting, so we really have to keep it up. I am happy to say that right now we’re in 54th place out of over 700! You can even see a cool graph of Jacob’s race to win. We started tracking it when we were only in 200th place. You can even see how we fell further behind because we did not get enough new votes compared to others. So even though we’re in 54th place, we can’t stop. We need more votes – please help. In fact you can register with our site to automatically vote for you every day – once you’ve already signed up on the NMEDA site.
